Paula's Choice Environmental Policy
We are dedicated to doing our part to be an environmentally-conscious corporation. Whenever possible, we have implemented the use of recycled and recyclable materials for both our product packaging and shipping materials.
The following list summarizes what we're doing as a company to reduce reliance on natural resources and ensure that our customers have the opportunity to recycle our packaging as permitted in their communities:
Most of our plastic bottles, tubes, and jars can be recycled provided your community recycling program accepts plastics labeled as #1 (for PET plastic) or #2 (for HDPE plastic).
Our caps are made of polypropylene and are recyclable in programs that accept #5 plastics (PP).
The majority of customer orders are packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes; recycled paper is used to cushion the contents for safe transit to your home.
The plastic zip-close bags used to group smaller items in your order are recyclable (and of course may be reused as you see fit) if your community accepts #2 plastics.
Whenever possible, we seek to order and use packing materials derived from post-consumer recycled content.
The Paula's Choice catalog and Step-by-Step guides are made with recycled materials, printed with soy ink, and bear the Forest Stewardship Council Seal. They can be recycled in any program that accepts paper.
Paula's Choice does not use extraneous packaging, including plastic-wrapped outer cartons and explanatory leaflets accompanying every product.
No Animal Testing
Paula's Choice has never tested on animals and never will. We also do not fund any independent source to conduct animal testing on our behalf. Last, but certainly not least, we support many animal-centered charities such as the Humane Society, ASPCA and NAVS.
