Applications Specialist

Position Summary
The Applications Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting and enhancing the order management system and website e-commerce systems to ensure the smooth delivery and interfacing of information.

Responsibilities

Order Management System Duties

• Perform updates and renewals of all database programs in the order management system
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the system including coordination with third party shipping applications
• Create and document procedures and training on the order management system

• Monitor and adjust system codes to reflect promotional codes, tax changes, shipping options, and other codes
• Test any changes in e-commerce system functionality and its impact on the order management and warehouse systems
• Coordinate relationship with e-commerce vendor to ensure timely issue resolution
• Test and ensure proper functioning and integration of all third party payment processing systems
• Work closely with the creative producer and development teams to assist in creating wireframes and writing functional specifications for web based projects or operations applications
• Responsible for quality control and testing of all technical functionality

• Oversee monthly customer, inventory, marketing and accounting reports
• Create special reports as requested

• Bachelors degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field or Associates degree and equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience in core duties listed above
• Expert level knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, Windows and Crystal Reports required
• Experience maintaining order management and e-commerce systems required
• Ability to prioritize and handle pressure while multi-tasking and adhering to quality and deadlines
• Must be self-motivated, highly organized, flexible and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible in an ever changing technical environment
